Maybe about a year ago I realized that I don’t like anything from my closet. You remember the times when your mom still used to buy you clothes and she paid for that good quality winter jacket or boots, which we all know are not cheap these days? And than the time came when you had to move out, start paying your own bills and buying your own clothes. In the first year or two you could still get away with wearing what was left from shopping with your kind mom, but at some point you realized that everything became so outdated, too worn out and just didn’t fit you anymore. So than you go on a hunt to find a nice replacement for that same winter jacket, and after a couple of hours of wondering from store to store you realize that you can’t actually afford a nice good quality peace, so you ending up buying something which looks ok-ish, but costs you less money and of course sacrificing the quality. And as the time goes on, you replace most of the items from your closet with cheaper alternatives. And than you ending up at the point where I am now: your closet is full of clothes and you have nothing to wear.
The lesson is learned – always choose quality over quantity!! Of course I knew it already, but probably I am that type of person who first makes a mistake and than learn from it.
My PLAN OF ACTIONS right now is to slowly and wisely transform my wardrobe by getting rid of things I don’t wear and/or like anymore and by adding a good quality wardrobe basics. And when I will have that done, I will spice it up with a couple of trendy items of the season.
I know every single girl at some point of her life has or is struggling with the same problem, so in my next posts I will share with you guys the list of my must-have basic items and also my journey of finding them and implementing into my new style.
So #1 on my list was a trench coat, of course. In my mind every woman should own one. It’s such a timeless peace, so classy, sophisticated and sexy at the same time. I found mine from Mango. I laid my eyes on it couple of months ago but it was a bit too expensive for me, so I waited and bought it later for half the price. I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase!!
Everybody knows that my very favorite hot drink is Chai Tea Latte, especially the one from Starbucks 😉 I was craving it the other day and since I was a bit hungry I wanted it to be a little bit more fulfilling. So I decided to experiment and make my own Chai Tea Smoothie. I used almost the same ingredients as for the normal chai tea latte, except I added one banana and since it’s close to Christmas I also decided to play with spices. It was so easy to make and I loved the result, so decided to share it with you!
1 cup Almond milk (can be any nut milk)
1/8 cup brewed chai tea ( I used Vanilla Chai from Pukka)
Spices that I used: cinnamon, cardamon and ginger (add just a little bit of everything)
You can also add ice cubes, but I don’t like cold drinkes so I skipped it.
Put everything in the blender and your Chai Tea Smoothie is ready!! Enjoy!
It’s not often that me and Eric are both off on Sunday, people who work in hospitality will understand me. But last Sunday we were both free *Woop Woop* ! So we decided to have a walk in the city center since there was a Hand-made market and I looove everything hand-made!! Unfortunately my expectations were higher than what I saw… The market was big, but most of the stands were half empty. I did manage to get a couple of pictures of the best stands that I could find there. Usually from those type of markets I am back with a nice piece of jewelry, knitted accessory or something for home decor, but this time I came back empty handed. We also attempted to get a nice christmasy cup of coffee in Starbucks, but it was so packed with people that we didn’t risk going in. So after walking around for a while, we thought it’s better to head back and enjoy the comfort of our home.
