It’s not often that me and Eric are both off on Sunday, people who work in hospitality will understand me. But last Sunday we were both free *Woop Woop* ! So we decided to have a walk in the city center since there was a Hand-made market and I looove everything hand-made!! Unfortunately my expectations were higher than what I saw… The market was big, but most of the stands were half empty. I did manage to get a couple of pictures of the best stands that I could find there. Usually from those type of markets I am back with a nice piece of jewelry, knitted accessory or something for home decor, but this time I came back empty handed. We also attempted to get a nice christmasy cup of coffee in Starbucks, but it was so packed with people that we didn’t risk going in. So after walking around for a while, we thought it’s better to head back and enjoy the comfort of our home.
How is your country/city preparing for Christmas? Are you enjoying the snow already? Show me your Christmas pictures by tagging me on Instagram @likezhanna
I met with my girlfriends the other day. The plan was to have some quality time together and eat some Ukrainian food. And than I remembered that I wanted to try making those very famous Gingerbread Cookies and why not to combine both of those things together. I just found a random recipe online, which turned out to be really good. It takes a while to make them, since you have to wait couple of hours while the dough cools down in the fridge, but when you are with your friends time flies. And that was such a good idea, the evening turned out be so lovely and cosy. We were talking and laughing for hours, while drinking warm tea with honey, listening christmas songs and decorating all the cookies.
I would definitely suggest it to anybody who is lacking ideas of what to do indoors with your friends in winter.
If you have any other ideas of what to do in winter please let me know in the comments below, because I will definitely need those ;)?
In my first post on this blog I talked about dreams and how important they are. So it would only be fair to write another post about dreams, but this time I will tell you guys how to actually make your dreams a reality. This is something I learned from my mother when I was very young. She would always say to me: “If you want something, go draw it and show me the picture”. I think everybody is familiar with the term “visualization”, but I don’t think everybody is actually using it and making it work. So in this post I will tell you guys how I to make your dreams a reality by using simple “rules” of visualization.
Step 1 Think
Think of your dream, think of your goal, think of things you would like to achieve, things you want to posses. Will all those things bring you happiness? Is that what you really want? Works best for me if I am alone somewhere in a peaceful place (on my coach or enjoying my chai tea in a café) and I will just close my eyes and think about all those things. I see them so vivid in my head that sometimes I think I can touch them.
Step 2 Search
Now take time to find the images, photos, pictures, illustration etc. of those exact things that you just thought of. Search in magazines, go online, draw them yourself etc. This is where your imagination has no limits.
Step 3 Gather supplies
You will need: a peace of paper A1 or A2 (depending on how big you it.) glue, scissors, a bunch of colourful pens and markers etc.
Step 4 Get crafty
When you got everything that you had in mind, now in images, its time to put them on your board. But before you do that, try to break everything you have into categories. I have a sample for you here below on the photo. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same. If some of the categories are irrelevant to you just skip them. Remember that its YOUR visualization board and it only contains things that YOU want. After you have done that, go ahead and glue them on your board keeping the images from the same category together. You can go absolutely crazy here, use everything your want: colourful markers, glitter, stickers etc. Basically make it so when you look at it you smile.
Step 5 Hide it
“Hide it?” you will ask, “why? “. Here opinions are divided. Somebody says you need to hang it somewhere where you can see it every day. I say ,“put it away”. You don’t need to look at it daily in order to know what’s on it. Just put it somewhere in your room, in your closet etc. And if sometimes your eye will catch it, and you feel like taking a look at it than go ahead! I just say you don’t have to hang it on your wall and feel like you have to look at it every day.
And that’s it, that’s how easy it is. Of course I am not saying that after that all your dreams and goals will magically come true. As for everything in this life you have to work for it! But believe me this is a huge step into a right direction. Now they are not just blurry images in your head, now they are a well defined and carefully set goals and targets. And that’s what is the most important.
Your next step after that will be developing a strategy of how you want to reach those goals. And when you have a strategy, than move into actions. Guys actions is what gets you to your dreams and goals!!! Without actions dreams will always stay dreams. Planning your actions – is a key to success. Break your actions into weekly planning and daily to-do lists. This will make it look less hectic and more organized.
And when you have everything prepared you are ready to start turning your dreams/goals into reality. Good luck guys!
